Ty sat broodingly on the forests' floor, not a sound could be heard, even by his sensitive ears. He'd sat there for two days straight, his thirst eating at his throat, burning, constantly making him suffer. It had been a long existence for him, and he'd been through worse. But, then a sweet scent filled Ty's nose, a scent so strong, so attractive, it was pulling him, calling to him. His throat flared up even stronger than before. His insticts kicked in, his eyes opened immediatly, his eyes, searching in the direction of his unseen prey. Ty took a very deep and unnecessary breath, taking in the smell fully. In one sixtyfourth of a second, Ty was upright, and on the move, searching for the source of the scent.
'Five miles, female, alone.' he thought to himself as he ran, full speed, dodging every tree effortlessly. He jumped up to a thick branch and began jumping from tree to tree, getting closer to his target. His throat burned even more, knowing he was close to his goal. 'Twenty yards' he could almost taste the scent now. 'Ten yards.' He said as he got ever closer to the unexpecting woman. He stopped, high in a tree, and spoted the lone female hiker, a smile momentarily crossed his face. 'Meal time.' he thoguht as he jumped down onto the forrests' ground. And in a single, graceful bound he stood an inch from the girl, who stumbled back in horror as she saw Ty's murderous intent in his dark red eyes. Not a second later, Ty sunk his teeth into her neck, and began to suck her blood from her body, trying to fufill his bloodlust.

Claudia pulled up in their Black Cadillac Escalade. She had closed up the house in Forks and had quit her job telling Carlisle that she would not be away from Ty. The last time they had been apart she'd nearly lost him and she was never going to let that happen again. By the time she arrived in Nome, Alaska she was starving to the point of black eyes. She got out of the car at their new home and following his scent took off running. In less than a minute she was by his side, windblown hair in her face.
She crouched beside him her black eyes searching for another human, they always hiked together, never alone so Claudia knew her meal would be along soon enough. Five seconds later she picked up the scent and half a second later she was upright and silently running toward her meal, the male companion of Ty's female hiker. She grabbed him by the throat and forcefully pulled him to her whispering sexily in is ear, "Do you like being food for immortals?" Before she plunged her teeth into his neck and drained him of blood. Then she casually dropped his lifeless body and licked the blood from her lips running a hand through her hair.

Reacting immediatly to his wife's presence, Ty wiped off the blood from his lips, and stood silently for a fraction of a second before she took off. Ty took off behind her, also getting a hit of the scent she followed, but, it was no secret that she was quicker than he was. She gained more ground and Ty arrived as she sunk her teeth into the horrified man.
Now that they were both fed, it was time to get down to some buisness. "Claudia, dear....what are you doing here? You're supposed to have stayed back at the house." he said in his raspy voice, it threatened to become yelling quite obviously. Ty was angry with her for coming here, she was to keep her cover in Forks. "Answer my question." he demanded after a few moments of silence past.

Claudia looked up at her husband. The only emotion she ever showed was when she was with him and she knew he was angry with her but he was just going to have to understand. She sighed softly, a completely human thing to do but she was only human when she was with him. Her own crimson eyes searched his as he spoke, wondering why she was there. She didn't speak for a few moments. Not because she wasn't going to explain, but because she was fighting the urge to jump him right then and there.
"I just couldn't stay there without you sweetheart. I can't bear to be apart from you for long and yes I know that I was to have stayed behind, but I was miserable without you. After talking to Dad and to Carlisle and them both telling me to come to you I did. Besides, this is where we met and where we fell in love remember?" She asked reaching out and caressing his cheek, sharing all the good memories of that time with him. Her voice took on the same coldness it now held for humans, but for him it showed hurt and anxiety. "Do you remember what happened the last time we were apart? I very nearly lost you!" She said, showing her memories of that time too. "I won't let that happen again!" She whispered, her voice so soft she wasn't sure he'd heard it.

Now, Tiberio had to struggle to keep his anger from manifesting in him lashing out at her. He took an unnecessary breath, which didn't help at all. His eyes locked on his wife. 'How insufferable' he thought. He still couldn't believe that she'd come here against his wishes, against his command. He stood, eyes locked on her for a long while, an amount of time that Ty barley noticed. His anger didn't allow him to do anything, because he knew if he were to move, it would be to hurt her.
It took some time for him to speak, and when he did, the anger was still present subtly in his voice. "I know, but I would have been home shortly, dear. I came here to get away. I needed silence." he said, struggling with each word, trying to maintain his calm after each was said. His raspy voice came heavy with an obvious struggle for restraint. "And last time we were apart, I remember having survived, I believe that should have been enough for you." he said, anger still enveloping his words.

Claudia sighed. She hadn't counted on him being angry with her and his anger was upsetting her. If she could have cried, she would have. She was beginning to be very afraid of him and she didn't want to be. She looked at him, her own eyes filled with nothing but love. She took a step back away from him. "I'll be at the cabin when you've calmed down." She said softly. She then did the hardest thing she's ever done in her life. Her head hanging and her shoulders drooped in sadness, she turned on her heel and walked to their cabin.
When she was home, she unpacked, cleaned the place and fixed the bed that they had broken the last time they were there. She gathered her thoughts as she cleaned and scrubbed and unpacked. She sighed sadly again as she held a photo of the two of them together. She loved him so much and there were times when she truly didn't understand why he got so angry. "I'm completely devoted to you Ty, why do you get so angry with me?" She whispered softly as she placed the photo on the mantle. She started a fire in the fireplace then went to lie down on the bed, clutching his pillow to her.

Ty stood still as a statue as Claudia took off. And time passed, he didn't move a muscle. The sounds of the forest were far away, as the creatures knew he was still here, and that he was the top of the food chain. After what seemed like hours, Ty still stood, frozen to the spot. Nothing happened around him, not even the breeze dare disturb the utter stillness of the area. Ty liked it. Peace finally replaced all the anger, and Ty took a deep and utterly pointless breath. And once again sat, to take in the peace, to cut off the rest of the world, to make it all melt away.
Some measure of time passed, Ty didn't know how long, after 2772 years of existence, time was irrelevant to him. Hours, days, seconds, years, months, it was all the same to him, he had eternity for himself, time no longer mattered. He closed his eyes again. And the peace he sought after finally filled him. No thoughts of murder, chaos or anything other than the stillness around him. And so went on time, it's restless self trotting forward. But, something suddenly began to bother Ty. It felt like something heavy was tied around his neck. 'Nothing is heavy...' Ty wondered to himself. He raised a hand and searched his neck, finding something that he'd ignored for a long time, a thin, golden chain. He immediately pulled out the heart-shaped locket that hung off the thin chain. He didn't need to open it to know exactly every detail of the pictures it held within.
In a fraction of a second, Ty raised from his sitting position and was in a full tilt sprint to a cabin he'd last seen long ago. He knew that's where she'd be, she'd know it's where he'd look for her. He arrived in only a few seconds' time. He stopped at the door, raised his fist and lightly tapped on the door, knocking. He wasn't sure what he'd tell her, he wasn't sorry for what he'd said and how he'd acted, but, he did want her at his side. He gave the door another light tap, hoping she'd open the door.

Claudia lay there holding tight to his pillow for an eternity. Time passed and still she lay there clutching his pillow immersing herself in his scent and most of all missing him. She'd walked away from Celeste for him. She'd left the only child she would ever have, for him. Nevermind that Celeste had turned out to be biologically her older sister. She sighed, a completely useless practice but it fit her melancholy mood. She didn't even count her previous marriage because she never would have been married to anyone else ever had things worked out the way they should have during the last Alaska trip. But that was something she just wanted to forget forever.
She sat up and looked over at his bedside table where she had laid the locket she knew for sure that he now wore. She wondered if the two pictures inside held as much meaning for him as they did for her. He very literally had her heart around his neck. She sat holding her hands looking at the black diamond engagement ring and matching wedding band he'd given her. She ran her fingertips over it once again. Just then she heard his fist tap at the door.
She opened the door at his second tap. If her heart could still beat it would have been racing. She looked into his beautiful crimson eyes, the eyes she'd fallen in love with at his first teasing of her formerly golden ones. She could remember the day they'd met in exacting detail, how her first human killing had been a mercy killing and how he'd said she was even more beautiful with crimson eyes. She couldn't ignore everything they'd been through to be together. She launched herself into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and locking her legs around his waist, kissing him fervently, passionately, her hands entwined in his hair..

Ty kissed his wife with passion, wraping his arms around her and holding her tightly against his body. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt as passionate as he did now, and no anger would keep him away from his heart's desire. He walked forward into the cabin, not breaking thier passionate kiss for even a second. He walked over to the couch and sat, still, without breaking thier kiss. He felt things were right. And the peace he'd so eager sought earlier was still present, maybe even more so than before. He felt this was where he was supposed to be. He didn't let up on her, holding her tightly and kissing her with passion.

Claudia whimpered softly as the passion in their kiss grew to new levels. She held tight to him not breaking the kiss. Whatever had been wrong before was completely gone from her mind. She had totally forgotten it. Everything was right now and as far as she was concerned it always would be. She felt so happy now it was as if her melancholy mood had been erased. She pushed him back against the couch pressing her body to him. She deepened the kiss whimpering for more.
