Jason smiled to himself, it was almost too easy to trick these humans into giving him what he wanted, which was money. He was Jason Wood, con artist extraordinaire. He flashed a few card tricks with the aid of his talent to manipulate energy, and made some things explode for the crowd. This crowd though was a little more demanding, wanting more than the usual hum drum magic tricks. He smiled to himself, if they wanted magic, then magic they would have.
He stepped down from the box that he stood upon and swiped his hat form his head. He placed it on the box and then took his long trench coat from his body and placed it on the hat. His under clothes were a tight old shirt that showed many of the facets of hard muscle forever etched in his cold marble like skin. He smiled to himself and place his feet together and threw his arms out wide.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” he said, his voice drawing out his New York like accent and making his workds smooth and velvety to all who could hear. “Do you want magic?” the crowd responded with a loud yes. Jason smiled, “Then my friends, I shall show you magic, the likes of which you have never seen done with no aid.” He showed that he wore no harness or any device of the sort than resumed his position of stance. He reached into himself, drawing on the power to control his own molecular structure and energy. He willed it to move all at once, causing him to rise several feet into the air, above the heads of the on looking crowd. In the higher air the smell of human blood was less for the time.
Jason looked around as the crowd gaped at him, amazed at his daring feet of illusion as they would believe it to be. He looked across to a small café that was nestled on the corner. A small torrent of wind came from that direction, swirling from below and rising to meet him. It all occurred just as a small girl stepped from the café and looked at him; her smell hit him on the breeze like a hammer to the face of a mortal. He lost concentration and fell from the height. He recovered the trick as best he could, flipping in mid air and landing on the ground in front of the crowd unharmed. They were applauding and giving him money, but his thoughts were on the girl whose very scent had done what no other had ever done, it unnerved him and made him falter.

Sarrah had walked into her favorite cafe in Port Angeles, there was nothing better than an iced coffee on a hot day. She walked out of the cafe after getting her coffee, she saw a huge crowd across the street and saw the guy that was causing it all, he was doing some sort of fake magic she supposed, she then noticed that he was staring straight at her. She rolled her eyes and kept going, she hated show off's she wasn't one to show off, even though her mother kept saying she was blessed with beautiful looks that would break any heart. But she would much rather not flaunt the looks she guessed she had.
She walked on down the road not stopping to watch the show off pretty boy do his so called magic. She turned on her ipod and started walking on down the road, her skirt floating and wafting around her knees, and her flip flops flopping and crunching the loose gravel underneath her. She was listening to some of her soft rock she bobbed her head as she continued walking. She felt something like someone was following her or watching her from a building or something, she started walking faster, she turned off her music and put her ipod in her skirt pocket.
She had done nothing to anyone, so she decided to turn and ask the person who was following her what the heck their problem was. She finally stopped and turned and saw the boy that had been doing the magic on the street "ummm what's your problem why are you following me"? She had been truly annoyed with the boy, he had been such a show off and that ticked her off but he had to follow her too that wasn't something she liked.

Jason had departed from the crowd as soon as he could, slipping back into the long trench coat and hat. He pulled the hat low over his eyes, so the golden color was not as visible. They were darker now though, more so than they had been. The smell of the young girl had made him thirsty beyond reasoning. He was fast, and found her quickly, not trying to hide. He approached her slowly, not wanting to scare her.
She turned, and her smell blew toward him in that slight motion. It hit him harder than before, as it was more concentrated, more pungent and…delicious. He almost let loose a low growl but instead visibly stiffened as her gaze fell upon him and she asked what should have been an easy question to answer. As it was, he had no logical explanation for why he had followed her.
“Uhm, bon we mademoiselle. I am Jason, and I am unsure of why I followed you. It seems that you did not enjoy my show.” He said, regaining his usual brass and confident exposure. He swept his coat behind him and bowed, “Allow me to formally introduce myself; I am Jason Wood, true magician extraordinaire.” He said, his voice smooth and velvety again as he ignored her scent, with much difficulty.

Sarrah nodded "I'm Sarrah, but most people call me Janey, and quite honestly I don't believe in magic, you had to have some aid in your little show. I can see straight through you, you're a fake just like all other magicians or people who claim to be magicians". She sipped her coffee and looked at the boy, thinking why he didn't show his eyes. Maybe for the reason of she wouldn't be able to identify him if he were to rape her or violate her in some way.
She had no way of running, that boy seemed pretty quick and athletic, he could probably catch up with her easily if she tried to run. She stood there as his answer popped into her mind, he didn't know why he had came after here then why did he? Men were complicated and thats exactly why she wasn't ready to date, and be involved with such a complicated addition to her family. She stood up to make herself seem taller, in which that wasn't about to work. He was taller than her and she couldn't help it.
She bit her lip and tried to look under his hat, she couldn't see his face since it was so dark. There was nothing much she could see except glossy parts which turned out to be his eyes. She couldn't even figure out if she actually knew the boy, seeing him in the square for that little amount of time wouldn't have helped her unless she saw him again. In which he's probably used to doing this sort of thing to girls and then running off to a new town under a new name, she knew guys like that she had seen some with the girls at her high school.
But oddly enough, something seemed so different about him. Something...just happened to be so oddly attractive about him that she couldn't stay away or walk away right now even if she wanted to. She felt a sudden icy chill go down her spine as she shivered, she laughed alittle nervously "sorry it's getting chilly I should have known better than not bring a jacket", she looked down at her cell and noticed it was 10:30, she groaned. "My parents are going to kill me, I need to get home, but my friend ditched me and left me without a way to get home".

Jason looked at her from under the hat. “Fake? My dear you offend me.” HE said with a wry smile. He wondered what she was thinking, and it amused him that she seemed afraid of him. That was smart; it meant he did not have to worry about her wanting to be around him. She was very cute and small next to him, it made him smile.
He saw her try to look under the hat and pulled it down a little lower, making sure his dark golden eyes were hidden. Her smell was so close to him it was going to drive him crazy, his eyes were growing darker by the second, and that was not a good thing. But he did not want to leave her here so late at night, it would be dangerous. He heard himself think this then wondered to himself, why do I care? He smiled at her and stood a little straighter.
He was caught between an argument with himself, whether to let her see his eyes, they were probably dark enough by now that he could pass them for dark brown or something. He smiled at her and shrugged, taking his hat off and showing his face, letting his dark blonde hair fall about his strong face. His eyes were darker, but not quite a right color. He hoped she would not notice.
Jason saw her shiver and talk about not having a jacket. He shrugged his long one off, it would practically engulf her but it was better than nothing. “Here you go, try this on.” He said, twisting it so it flew over her head on around her shoulders, he tugged it a little so it would cover her nicely. “That should keep you pretty warm.” He said warmly, smiling a little.
“Now as for your ride home, well I do not own a vehicle, but I have a decent bit of money, so let me get you a ride home in a cab or something.” He took her arm in his grip gently, cursing to himself in his mind. What was he doing, did he want to kill this girl, was he that much of a masochist?

Sarrah looked at the jacked and blushed alittle as she felt the heavy coat almost bring her down to her knees but she stood her ground. She looked up at his miscolored eyes which made her blush brighter, hoping he wouldn't see in this dark light, she looked down at the ground. She was going crazy over this boy and there was nothing she even knew about him, how could she be so mushy gushy over this boy and she barely even knew him.
She looked at him after he mentioned that he could get a ride "I'll call a cab I can get home its no problem, well it was nice meeting you, goodbye". She walked off down the street another little bit of the way and started hearing footsteps more footsteps than just that Jason boy she had just left behind. They were heavier, more people were following her, she started thinking maybe she could actually outrun the people this time.
She took off running but then was stopped on the alley way she was turning by another whole group of boys, she stopped in her tracks and looked behind her, there was about 10 in all, she had nowhere to run. She backed up against the wall as she was getting surrounded quickly, she looked at one the tallest, he walked up to her and quickly started pressing against her, his breath smelled of beer and vodka. She looked at him as he whispered the most disgusting things into her ear.
She was preparing to scream, when she grabbed a piece of steel that had been laying beside of her and threw it at the leader, she ran, but she didn't get far. She fell on a big bag of trash, she tried to get up but quickly fell, she got the smell of blood in her nose, she looked down and there was her ankle bone poking out of he skin, she groaned as the guys appeared over her. They were about to do terrible things to her and where she was no one would come help her, but maybe just maybe Jason wasn't far enough away to where he couldn't, so she screamed at the top of her lungs.

Jason was following her before she was being followed by others. They were a large group of drunk men and he growled, but he did not attack now, for they showed no hostility, yet. He continued to follow them down the dark alleys and saw that they were cornering her. He ran and was about to come off the roof when it seemed she would get away. Then she fell down after having struck the leader. HE cursed and jumped from the roof, pulling a coin from his pocket. He charged it quickly and threw it, making it stick to the ground near where the group was gathered and it blew up with a large bang and the force of a stick of dynamite.
Jason landed in front of Sarah and crouched like an animal, growling deep in his throat. He stood as a few of them and ran at him and he just touched them, draining their molecules of energy, causing them to collapse. He did not kill them, though he wanted too. He moved inhumanly fast as they kept coming, the whole lot of them. He took the down with ease and then turned back to Sarah. She seemed to be incapacitated with fear of him or something else. He didn’t know, but he took her in his arms and jumped, landing on the roof he had been on and started running. He held her close to his chest, the jacket flapping around her as he had let her take it with her and it was still on her shoulders.
Jason stopped a few miles away from the spot and set her down, they were on the roof of some large building. He turned from her and growled, hitting a brick wall and shattering the stone. “Talk me down Sarah, make me calm down.” He told her, growling the words a little. He laid his head on the brick.
His whole body seemed to be charged, the energy he had stole from the attackers coursing through him and he had to get rid of it soon. He took out another handful of coins and charged them, threw them into the air. They flew as high as a firework and exploded like a firework show. He laid back against the wall and was still fuming. “Talk me down Sarah.”

Sarrah groaned as Jason let her down, she looks at him and then the show he was putting on. It was scaring her, but she truly got scared when he crumbled the brick of the building that they were ontop of. She came to the conclusion that Jason was not normal, she believed him to be before but now she was sure that he wasn't, including the fact that he ran across town in a matter of seconds. She was scared, she was unable to really say anything, how was she going to calm him when she didn't know what calmed him.
She looked at him and said "well you could get me to the hospital, I think I broke my ankle or sprained it or something". She looked at her ankle she was completely unsure of her injury, because the blood had covered the place where it was bleeding from. She looked at him and laughed "are you a marathon runner, that was a quick sprint and you must be a freak show muscle man because no normal guy our age could even crack that brick". There wasn't much else she could say, she was trying to lighten his mood, but seemed unsuccessful.
She forced herself up, putting all of her weight onto the leg that wasn't bleeding harshly. She looked at him and leaned against part of the building that lead to the stairs that went into the building, she looked at him and decided it was time she used her singing, her singing always calmed people down, for some strange reason. She never liked her singing but everyone else did, everyone around the school loved it and begged her to pursue a career as a singing teacher or artist. She braced herself and started singing a soft what seemed to be lullaby. She hoped it would calm him, if not then she was unsure of what could.

Jason heard the soft croon of her voice, it was so gentle and smooth that his very worry and fear and anger seemed to drain from him like water from a strainer. He relaxed, it was almost visible, and he realized she had mentioned being hurt. He growled at himself, the anger dissipating in the light of her singing but he turned to her with a scowl on his face and walked over to her. He took her in his arms again and set her down gently, making sure she held no weight on either foot. He pulled her jeans up to the knee and looked at the wound. He thought for a minute, then decided she had seen a lot already, it didn’t matter now what he did.
Jason charged the energy into his hand and the touched her injured foot as gently as he could. He charged the very molecules in the area, making sure to cause no pain, and as little discomfort as possible, and accelerated her healing to super human capacity for the moment. It would allow her foot to heal right there, and then fade away so she would be normal again. He let go of her foot, it seemed to glow for just a second the fade quickly.
“There, all healed.” He said, and decided it time to answer her questions, to a degree. “Sarah, I am not a marathon runner, or a strong man. I am plain dangerous, especially to you. If you were smart, once I drop you next to a cab you would get in, go home, and forget you ever knew me.” He said, his back turned to her. “I am no good for you to know, and if you had been smarter you would have run from me from the very beginning Sarah.” Jason walked back to the wall and took out a coin, rolling it between his fingers.

Sarah watched him as he healed her. She wasn't exactly sure what was up with this guy, but she couldn't be away from him, no matter how much he disliked it. She liked that he took time to rescue her and...heal her. "What if I don't want to be away", she said as she stood. She walked over to him, "why should I stay away, I think I should be your eternal slave for doing this for me". She looked down at her leg and smiles "I think I could use you around more often I'm always hurting myself", she laughed trying to lighten the mood. She knew it wasn't working.
She looked at him seriously, "why would you meother saving me if you wanted me to leave you alone? I can't do that Jason". She looked at him, crossing her arms, waiting on him to say something. She couldn't just leave him alone, there was a pulling effect that just wouldn't let her turn around and walk away from all that she had seen today. She looked at Jason's face, then down to the coin that he was twirling between his fingers.
"Jason, I'm not going to leave you alone you've done too much for me to just forget you" she said alittle softer and not as harsh sounding. She looked down at her feet and waited for him to talk. Maybe he didn't like her, maybe he just wanted to save her to save himself from being guilty of letting her be killed.

“Sarrah, I am dangerous. You saw what I did to those men, I could do so much worse to you. I could by pure accident destroy your entire existence and not even mean to do it.” He said, turning to face her, “It’s not that I do not like you Sarrah, it’s just that I can’t with a good heart and mind be near you and constantly put you in danger.” He said, taking a few steps away from her. “I Don’t need a slave or anything of the such, and I don’t need some girl hanging about me all day. I helped you like any descent person would have.” He said.
“I am not who you think I am. I am no good guy sent to save the day. I am a bad guy without a choice, a villain trying to make his existence a little more bearable every day.” He told her. “You do not want a friend like me Sarrah, or even an acquaintance. Just let me drop you next to a cab and you can go home and be who you once were, without me in it. Do what you always do, no danger from me.” He said, looking at her, his eyes steely and unmoving. Inside he was raging with himself, he could tell he was hurting her and it was killing him and he could not understand why it was happening.
“When I put you on the ground I want you to go as far away from me as fast as you can, that is how you can repay me. Forget me, forget everything you saw and i will never be a bother in your life again Sarrah. I followed you and that was my fault, please forgive me and forget me.” He said in a low and unpassioned voice.

Sarrah gritted her teeth "Jason didn't you just hear me I can't forget nor do I want to forget this day and I don't want to leave you alone". She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair and then looked up at him, "can't we just talk, or do I have to leave now"? She waited for him to answer. She didn't understand why this was hurting her, it completely baffled her that a guy she just met had such a hold on her after only an hour to two hours of setting eyes on each other.
She sighed and stood against the wall with Jason, resistant to leave. She didn't want to leave, she wanted to learn more about him, get to know him. She didn't know why she did, but she did "Jason can we just talk, go somewhere else other than here and just talk I mean I don't want to go home", she crossed her arms again, looking down at her feet. She was thinking up ever reason to stay near him.
Sarrah ran her fingers through her hair again, making it fall over her eye. She groaned and just threw her hair up in a ponytail. She was getting frustrated, she didn't like not knowing Jason more, she didn't want to forget him or even forget what happened today. Today had changed her.

Damn Jason said in his mind. This girl just won't quit. And the real problem is; I don't want her too. He argued in his mind. THis was a big problem. He was dangerous to her, more so because despite his years of self control her blood practically ripped at his control, tortured him and made him want to attack her every second longer he was around her. He knew he should leave, and now; but he could not make himself do so.
He turned and looked at her, admitting defeat with his eyes. "Okay Sarrah, we can talk." He whispered to her, his voice calm and smooth, gentler than it had been in a long while. "But not here, let me take you to my favorite place in this whole city." He said and stepped forward, offering his marble like cold arms out to her. "I will have to carry you there." He said.
Every fiber in his being was screaming that he was some kind of masochistic idiot for doing this. But there was a small voice, faint and warm in the back of his mind that said to try. It whispered to him not to leave this girl, and to help her as best he could. He had to stay, Jason was not given another choice. Even though his mind yelled at him, his heart was winning this fight.

Sarrah smiled at the fact she had won the fight "thank you-what now, you're going to carry me, wait a second....I have a problem with roller coasters you move way faster than them, but what the hell if I die atleast you die too". She laughed and climbed into his arms, as he threw her onto his back. She gasped as his cold body touched her, she got used to after alittle while though. She watched as they flew through the air it seemed like, she had no idea that this would be so easy for him.
He wasn't blinking, he was just watching what was ahead of him, avoiding everything that lay before them. She closed her eyes after feeling the shock of moving so fast, she laid her head down against his back and took deep breaths, "where are we going anyway" she asked as she hid her face, trying to calm her motion sickness.

Jason smiled at her comment about him dying too. He laughed a little to himself and ran faster, jumping on to buildings from the ground itself. It was an easy thing to run through the city and not be seen if you had grown used to hiding your entire life. He made his way to the center Port Angeles, where a huge water tower stood. He jumped from the ground and took several leeps off of rungs and landed on the top.
"We are going here, the highest point in all of Port Angeles. It is several hundred feet above the city and you can see it all. The lights at night are so beautiful that i just love to come and look from here." He said and sat down on the metal hull of the water tower.
"So Sarrah, you wanted to talk, what about?" He asked as he stared over the entire city. He hardly moved, seeming like some laide back guardian statue that watched the city without anyone knowing.
