Jason was walking through the small book store in Port Angeles, one of the only ones around. Ti had so many interesting books. A lot of them pertained to the Quileute legends, but that was fine, he liked studying them. He pulled the jacket he was wearing tighter around him, and ran his hands through his messy hair. He picked out a few small books and flipped through them, placing them back where he had gotten them just as quickly. He wasn’t looking for anything in particular. He had left the house so his parents would not bug him about not doing anything. He had drove to Port Angeles and had some lunch; alone. He went to a movie; alone. Then he finally came here; alone. That was the prevailing factor in his life, loneliness. That is why he never went out, he had no friends.
Jason rounded the corner and winced hard, a small injury he still retained from his old life in California paining him. He had never completely healed. He fell forward and into someone. They did not fall but the stack of books they had did. Jason stayed on the ground for a second and picked up the books. He was so embarrassed. “ I am so sorry.” He whispered his voice quiet. He stood and looked at whom he had run into. He gasped, it was a girl unlike any he had ever seen. She was gorgeous, and stunning. Her eyes were a shade of blue like he had never seen before and her hair was so beautiful, and so like silk he had to resist the urge to reach out and take but a single strand in his hand.
“I...I...I” he stuttered. “I am so sorry madam, I did not mean to.” He said to her, fumbling over him self and talking very fast. He must look like a complete dork he thought. He tried to smile at the girl, to put on some form of a charming face. He held out her books, “Uhm, sorry again.” He whispered.

Susan had walked into the store, having nothing to do at home, she had nothing to do today. Work had been closed early, no skin off of her nose, she just hated having so much free time. She looked through the books of the Quilieute Legends, she laughed. She had first hand in those legends so she had no need to read up on them. She was looking at the top shelf when she hit something and jumped backwards, quickly, hoping no one noticed how quickly she had jumped.
There was a boy infront of her, he looked younger than he probably was. He was apoligizing like mad, he was alittle nervous she suspected. She looked into the guys eyes and felt her stomach turn flips and her heart skipped a few beats, she breathed in sharply, taken aback by how this boy made her all of a sudden stop.
"Why don't you watch where you're going....on the other hand you're okay, I'm Susan" she holds out her hand for him to shake it. He was really cute, he had this young boyish look to him, she felt that she had found that one special guy, but she shook her head and smiled, she wasn't about to let this happen this early. It couldn't, she still had school to look into, she had to keep her school grades up and she knew that if she got involved with a boy it would only bring them down.
She gave him her priceless smirk, she wasn't going to let the feeling she had bother her. He was just like any other boy that she had dated and broke up with, he wasn't different in anyway. She shook his hand and then looked behind her "I need to go" she ran off to the other side of the store and leaned against the shelf, she took a deep breath, what on earth was going on with her, this was so different than she had felt for the many other guys she had dated.

Jason smiled a little more and held his hand out to her, wincing a little as the injury acted up again. “Yeah, I am fine, and my name is Jason.” He looked into her eyes, they were so deep and beautiful he was unsure of what to do. He wanted to talk to her more, to be charming and get this girl to pay attention to him. He wanted to be everything he wasn’t so this beautiful girl, this goddess made human before him would take notice of him.
He let her hand go and now noted on how warm she was. He looked at her to try and see if he could tell if she was sick or not. She seemed fine, then just as suddenly as she had said hello, she said she had to go and took off away from him. “Goodbye…” He whispered as she left. IT was a few minutes before he decided he was not going to let her get away from him, he wanted..no need to see her. He ran out of the store after her, remembering her name he yelled. “Hey Susan, wait up.”He called after her.
She was very fast, almost to fast, but he slowly closed the gap between them. “Hey wait, whats your hurry? Can we..uh..” he stuttered a little, gathering courage to try this, “Can we go get some lunch or dinner or whatever?”

Susan turned as she heard her name being yelled, she saw that it was Jason. Her eyes widened as he asked for dinner. She blinked a few times and then thought about it "umm....I....I can't, it's for the best". She ran off toward the alley way and disappeared from his sight. She jumped on a dumpster and found a ledge to where she could hop up on the top of an apartment building. She walked to edge and watched him.
She liked him, but she couldn't let it happen. She was a monster and him a poor human which she could kill any point in time that she wanted. She just couldn't be with someone who deserved something more than a monster like her. She watched him and read his mind, wondering exactly what he was thinking about, did he really like her, or did he just want her for her looks.
She growled as she heard him call her beautiful and godlike, she ran off and ripped out of the baby blue dress that she was in and ran through the woods, she couldn't stand that people only looked at her looks, she found a deer and decided to take her anger out on it and get a meal all in the same time. She mutilated the wolf, and basically ripped the head off as she ate it and left some remains for the birds.
She found her way back to her house, and as she could see no one was at home, she transformed back and opened the door. She got in and hopped in the shower, getting the sticks and such out of her hair and getting the blood off of her face. She sighed as she got out and dressed quickly, she went to her room and brushed her hair through and laid down on her oversized queen bed. She closed her eyes and all of a sudden the image of Jason popped back into her mind, she groaned and covered her face with her pillow.

Jason kicked the ground, tossing the dirt into the air. She had gotten away. He tried to chase her but she was unbelievably fast. He growled to himself. She was a beautiful godess, that was true, but she was also different. She was smarter, that he could tell. He wanted to spend time with her. He kicked the ground again and silently walked back to his car.
It was blood red, with flames dancing along the edge. His parents had bought it for him, it was an SSC Ultimate Aero, 2007 model. The fastest car in production and he liked it. He loved the power and speed it gave him, but he stuck out at school. It made him more a target for people to bug him, which was the opposite of what his parents intended.
Jason climbed into the car and started it, flying off down the street, his mind on the girl he could not seem to have. She was so beautiful and charming and kind, in a strange way. She was snippy and abrasive, but in a way that made one think it was as if she were protecting them from her. But why? Was she dangerous? If she was he did not care, he wanted to forgo safety if it meant he could be around her.

Susan got a ride back to the book store where she had left her chrome Mercedes McLaren. She grabbed her keys out of her jeans and unlocked her doors, she pulled it open and climbed in quickly closing and locking the doors back, she didn't like being alone in a place she wasn't familiar with. She started the car and felt her heart jolt as it roared to life and the headlights came on. She laughed at herself and drove off.
She ran her fingers through her hair, she watched as the road kept growing infront of her. She then saw the image of Jason rush into her head again, she slammed on breaks and laid her head on the steering wheel, thank god there was no one behind her or she would have caused an accident she figured. She groaned alittle and decided that she had to avoid this boy at all costs, one meeting and he was driving her up the walls.
She started driving again, she leaned down and turned on the radio, blasting the bass of the music. She had to keep her mind off of that boy she had just met that she seemed to be falling all mushy gushy for. She growled and kept driving, finally her cell went off it was a text from mom asking had she gotten the car and was she on her way home, she started to text back when she started drifting over toward the other side of the road. She didn't realize it until something blinded her. It was another car's headlights.
She swerved drastically and went down to a ditch and slammed into a tree. She groaned and tried to lean back but felt her arm caught in something and it was throbbing madly, it had been caught in the steering wheel and broken. She groaned and pulled it out and set it back into place, she went through the pain gritting her teeth. She leaned over her seat to see if the person she almost hit had stopped, they did, someone was coming to check her out. She didn't need a hospital she was going to be okay. And bad luck just seemed to be her best friend because the person who showed up at her window was the brown haired, blue eyed Jason.

Jason was nearly home when another car almost hit him. He slammed his brakes and whipped the car to the edge of the road. He jumped out and began to run toward the other car. The windows were tinted, so it was hard to see who was hurt and how bad it was. He ran as fast as he could, going over the list od the things to check for his father had taught him.
“Breaks, burns, and bruises.” HE kept saying to himself, which was the order in which he needed to check for injuries. He got to the door of the car and grabbed it and yanked it open. It came with a loud screech and he found inside the very girl he had been thinking of only a few moments before hand, Susan. He ducked and sat on the edge of the car and ignored her protests of not needing help. He looked her over, there were some small cuts, and her arms wasn’t quite right, a fracture maybe, but not a whole break. “Susan, just stop complaining and let me help you.” He said, his voice much more powerful and serious than any he ever really used with any other person.
Jason ran back to his car and pulled out his jacket and an extra shirt he had been wearing. He then ran over to a tree and chose a wide branch and snapped it off. He ran back, ripping the extra shirt to pieces and sitting on the edge of the car again. He placed the stick straight along her arm and wrapped it in the folds of cloth he had made from the shirt. He bound it tight and then leaned up and put the jacket over Susan’s shoulders.
“There, now come on. I will take you to the hospital, then home.” He said to her, gently pulling her from the car and supporting most of her weight himself.

Susan got away from his grip "look I'm okay I don't need a doctor". She growls alittle and looks at the homemade splint. She wouldn't even need this to heal her arm, it would be fine in about a few hours or less. She was okay, it could have been alot worse than what she figured if she had crashed worse. She growls as she looks at Jason, obviously her life didn't like her right now. Jason would pop up everytime that she didn't want him to.
She looks at Jason, her head started spinning, she sat down in her drivers seat of her car. She groans lightly and looks up at Jason "can you just drive me home, so I can call someone to get my car fixed", she put her hands on her forehead and groans, her head was spinning badly, she felt like she had lost alot of blood, but she didn't know exactly what had made her head start spinning.
She looked up at Jason to see what he was doing or trying to do. She started feeling her stomach tighten as she looked into his eyes. She looked back down because her head started spinning again. She looks at him and says "are you going to take me home or not Jason"? She almost screamed when she asked him that.
She growled and started honestly going crazy, her arm was throbbing, her head was spinning and her stomach was being tossed like a salad. She was feeling terrible, she was hurting and she was upset too. She really liked this boy, but she knew it was impossible to be able to be together a monster and a human together, it just couldn't happen.

Jason looked down, not sure what it was that he had done wrong. “Yeah, I will take you home Susan. But…don’t treat me as if I am the bad guy. I am just trying to help.” He said quietly and walked over to her, offering his hand. He took her good arm and supported her again, taking her to his car and around to the passenger’s side. He left her to let her deal with the buckle and went around to the other side. He got in and saw the cast was making her fumble a little bit. He shook his head and leaned over.
“Here, let me.” He said, impassively. He buckled it gently, his skin brushing against her and leaned back up. He started the car and began to drive in the direction she had been going. “Where do you live?” HE asked, his voice quiet and un emotional. He was trying to not connect to this girl who obviously wanted nothing to do with him. He was quiet, his face void of anything but a blank stare. But his eyes, blue and deep were full fo a sadness he could not explain to himself.
He rounded a corner and kept staring forward, glancing at Susan from the corner of his eye, “Where at Susan?”

Susan pointed out the way to her house, she felt unbearably guilty. "Thanks for your help, is there anything I can do to repay you Jay" she smirks at him giving him a nickname. She liked him and with that question she knew what was coming, he would ask her out on a date and she would accept. It was the least she could do for his unbearable kindness. He was too kind and sweet and actually very good looking for his own good.
She had never had someone treat her so nicely before, not even her parents were sweet to her like this. She made it back to her house, she looked at him as he noticed the huge mansion that she had pointed out that was her house. "Yeah thats my house I know I'm a rich spoiled brat", she shrugged and then breathes in deeply as she leaned over and kissed his cheek, got out and ran toward her house.

Jason looked at her form the corner of his eye, still not responsive. “No, there is nothing you need to do.” He said to her and stopped at her house. It was nice, and obviously expensive. “Nice place.” He said and got from the car. He walked around the edge and opened her door, offering his hand, “I will walk you to the door and explain what happened.” He said, his voice the same as it had been during the car ride.
Jason took her hand gently and led her up the house and opened the door, leading her in and waiting for her to call her parents to come and see to her. He looked around the house, ti was very nice, he wondered what her parents did. He couldn’t live up to this, he was nowhere near this league. Sure his parents made excellent money, but still, this was elaborate to the extreme. He might as well compare himself to trailer park kid and her the rich girl in town for all that he stood up too her.

Susan looks at him and sighs "can I take you up on that offer for lunch date" she smiles. She looks into his eyes, she decided that she should go ahead and take a chance with him, he seemed nice enough and seriously what could happen with them maybe he could keep her secret to himself if she were to tell him. If they were to get serious enough she might tell him of her secret.
She smiled at him and sighed "there's no reason to explain the car wreck no one got hurt we're all okay". She took his hand and intertwined their fingers, she wanted to give him a hint that she wanted to go on a date with him sometime. She really did think this was her real honest to god imprint. Her head wasn't spinning anymore, her stomach was okay and everything was settled.
She was so happy but realized that he may not like her anymore. That would end up almost killing her physically and emotionally, she couldn't have that but she could tell by his thoughts that he was trying this to see if she really would date him or not. She liked him and he liked her and she was letting him know that she liked him and didn't care what kind of monster she was. But she would have to keep it a secret to herself, she had to be sure she could trust him.
She looked up, she had saw something out of the cornor of her eye. Her mother had saw her and Jason from their bedroom window on the 3rd floor. She laughs and shakes her head "my mom what a card, my family is all alittle wacky" she didn't let in that it was just more than immediate family, it was her pack aswell and she hoped that no one in the pack found out about Jason just yet.

Jason looked at her curiously, she had changed so quickly it was almost startling to him. He smiled a little, looking right into her blue eyes, so deep and caring in a way that he didn’t want to look away. “Yeah, the offer is still open Su.” He said with a wry smile. He laughed a little and walked around the house with her.
He felt her fingers go through his and almost jumped, it was so startling to have her be so calm around him now. It was strange. He smiled at her, “They need to know about the wreck Su, so you can get the car fixed with insurance and what not.” He smiled. He felt the extreme heat from her hand, “Are you sure you are not in some type of shock? You are very warm.” He asked gently.
He noticed the woman in the window and smiled charmingly up at her, “I bet they will love the poor geek you brought home if that is true.” He laughed a little and kept walking with her. “It is really quite a nice home.” He said. He was thinking very fast. How could she like him, she was some type of heiress or something and he was a middle class geek. It was so strange to him. But he tightened his grip on her hand none the less and listened as he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Susan heard the footsteps and kissed his lips quickly "I really like you Jason, but I'll call you tonight". She ran through the door and closed it in his face, she ran past her mother and upstairs quickly, she closed and locked her door and landed on her bed. She was so happy and ecstatic for tomorrow. She covered her face with a pillow and squeeled happily. She couldn't wait to sleep the night away to finally see Jason's sweet face again.
She curled up on her be and fell asleep on her bed fully clothed and all. When she saw that first ray of sun she smiled and got up earlier than she usually did, she got a shower and got dressed and started fixing her hair before it was 10. She finally had gotten ready she decided to call Jason and apoligize for not calling for the night before.
She called him and said she was on her way to his house to hang out, she had to stay on the phone to get the directions, she drove into forks which was unusual to her, she didn't like being in Fork's her kind was not liked in this neck of the woods. But she drove to where Jason had told her, she hung up her phone when she saw him. His house was fairly nice, not as big as hers but just as nice.
She got out of her car and ran up to him and hugged him, she was so happy to see him. She kissed his cheek and smiled "hey Jay ready to go or did you have something else planned?" She smiled at him and sighed in relief as he kept his arms on her waist. She was so happy to be around him again, even for one night it almost killed her to not be able to hear him or see him.

Jason was a little taken aback by her sudden briskness, but it melted away when she kissed him and promised to see him soon. He drove home in a daze, breaking more than a few speeding laws, but he did not notice. He had slept as best he could, fully clothed and all. He had spent most of his night thinking of her, of what she had said and everything. She really did like him, she, the most perfect girl in the world really did like him. It was something he had never expected.
The next morning he woke up and got ready as he usually did, slipping into some nice clothing. He wore a dark pair of jeans, a black shirt and his hair was straight, long. He was thinking about a haircut. He put on some cologne, a pine like scent, much like the trees around the town. He smiled as he heard the phone and picked it up, glad to hear her voice.
Jason directed her to his house for the next twenty minutes and was outside when she pulled up. He smiled as her enthusiasm sent her into his arms and he held her there, feeling again the warmth of her body.
“Are you sick Su? You are so warm.” He asked, his voice very concerned. He looked into her deep blue eyes and saw that she seemed okay, almost ecstatic. He laughed a little at her questions, “Well I didn’t have much planned until dinner tonight, so how about we stay here and watch some movies together?”
