Ariyanna had finally decided what she was going to for the day. All she knew was that she needed to get out of the house. Her mother and father were driving her nuts and her brother was hardly ever home any more. She wanted her brother to come back and spend some time with her, they were twins after all. But waking up again and not having her brother be there she knew that she wouldn't see him for a while. She stood up and pulled on her hoodie and then slid into her trainers. She figured the mall was as good a place as any to end up in. Climbing into her car she headed out, it wouldn't be long till she was sitting in the food court eating a burger that she wasn't supposed to have.
She pulled into the parking lot, her music blaring. She shut off her car and walked into the mall. She was hungry and she wanted food. She looked over at the short line and then sat down at a table. With a sigh she just pulled her hood over her head and stayed there.

Forks, Washington was a dreadfully dull place. It lacked any sort of night life or any sign of interesting people--concerning humans anyways. However, there was one good thing about the town. Gloomy clouds forever loomed above the sad little town, seldom ever shedding sunlight. This allowed Leon to go where ever he pleased, whenever he pleased. Only problem was, where was he to go? Well, he'd find that out later. Donning a pair of dark dress pants and a dark button up shirt he grabbed his gray coat and left his hotel room exactly as it had been when he walked in the night before.
Leon walked at a leisurely pace to the car that he had rented; a silver Camaro. The drive was relatively short in his opinion, speeding down the road at a reckless pace. He drummed his fingers against the steering wheel and fiddled with the radio, trying to find some sort of tasteful music he could listen to. Upon reaching Port Angeles, he slowed and took a look around as he drove until he finally decided on the mall. Not only could he possibly find something mildly interesting to do, he could buy some CD's to listen to in the car.
His new CD's in hand, ranging in genre from Jazz to Classical, Leon settled down in the food court alone at a table for four. The place was bustling with people and his golden gaze landed on each and every person for a moment before moving on to the next. He shrugged off his coat and set it on the chair beside him and leaned back, watching as people ate their disgusting fast food, talked animatedly, or merely ate alone.

Ari had been sitting down briefly before she walked over and ordered an arby's burger and some curly fries and a coke. She was hungrier than she had thought. She waited as her food was being prepared and she watched all the people in the food court. The guys with their girlfriends or whom ever they happen to be. And then there were the little old couples out for the day. She also noticed the amount of people alone, like she was. She just sighed as she picked up her tray and walked over to her table.
She had pulled out a book as she sat there eating. She needed to keep her mind of some things before they drove her nuts. She had opened the barbeque sauce and had had started in on her fries. She just hoped that she would be able to figure things out before she went completely crazy. Finishing up her fries she set down her book, and started in on her burger. She could just smell how amazing the burger was going to taste after so long. Just thinking about how her mother would reprimand her right now made her smile.
Finishing off her burger she stood and threw away her trash before settling in and reading some more. She pulled her feet up in to the chair in front of her and leaning back. She looked completely comfortable at the moment and her brain was fully focused on her book.

Leon stroked his clean shaven cheeks as he spent some time with his gaze lingering on a few people in particular. They weren't "interesting" in any respect, but they drew his attention none the less. There was a teen couple walking out and towards the escalators. The boy had his arm draped over the girl's shoulders as he sauntered along, smirking and nodding at the correct intervals as the girl chatted along, completely oblivious to the fact that he wasn't listening to a word she said. Leon was no mind reader but he knew exactly what was on that young man's mind- if he just acted like he listened he might have some fun later that day. He shook his head and turned his attention elsewhere. Men just didn't have the same respect for their woman as they did when he was young.
As his gaze swept the small throngs of people until it fell on someone who completely stood out of the crowd. At least to him she did. She was walking on her own, a perfectly pretty young girl, to sit at a table on her own accompanied by a large burger and fries. Also as her company, a book. Hm. He watched her for a long while from his spot across the room as she first ate her fries and then moved on to the burger. His gaze dropped to her neck every time she swallowed. After a moment's debate he stood, leaving his coat and CD's where the were.
Leon pushed the sleeve of his shirt up to his elbows and slipped his hands into the pockets of his trousers. This was about as casual as he ever was, heck he wasn't even wearing a tie. He slowly sauntered over to the young girl's table and paused just opposite her. His lips curled into a charming smile and very softly cleared his throat. His voice was almost just as soft when he spoke and held just a hint of his French accent.
"Excuse me, would you mind if I sat here?"

Settling in with her book she was quiet, glancing up periodically when someone would knock the back of her chair. She shrugged it off a lot before, she just pulled in her seat. She was tired of the jerks that thought they were better than everyone else. She bit her lip as she read her story, slowly flipping the pages as she went a long. She watched as some guys slipped their hands in their girls back pockets. She just shook her head and went back to her reading. She bit her lip in concentration as she sunk deeper into her book.
She was interrupted by the shadow that had fallen over her book. Wih a small smile she looked up, and was mesmerized by the golden copper colored eyes. They just held her's and she feared looking away from him. They just drew her in and she couldn't bring herself to even fathom looking away. But she blushed under his gaze, before nodding at his question. "Well no one else seems to want to sit there. So i guess its up for grabs." She said with a small smile. His french accent made her knees weak as she listened to his velvet voice. She quickly removed her feet from the seat and sat forward.
"So what brings you to my humble table?" She asked, sipping at her soda. She rarely was ever approached by anyone while she sat with her book. none of the guys seemed interested in her when they found her reading, like reading was a bad idea. [/blockquote]

His eyes sparked with amusement and his soft smile grew slightly. Even now, so many years after he had been turned, it was still rather amazing to see watch as a human took in his appearance. Such deadly beauty, vampires had. And his topaz eyes only helped, they seemed much friendlier than that of the usual vampire whose crimson eyes told their prey to run as they remained rooted to the spot. Leon waited, still smiling pleasantly as a slight blush crept into her cheeks. His gaze dropped there, looking at the blood that warmed her face. It was a good thing he had been hunting the night before.
Leon chuckled softly at her words and gripped the back of the chair. "Now I cannot imagine why anyone would pass up this seat, the view is quite lovely" He pulled the chair out and took his seat, leaning forward with his arms folded on the table. He watched her for a moment before answering her question. "I'm new in town and yearned for some company." He explained with a nonchalant shrug. His eyes found her book and he began to reach out to take it before pausing.
"May I? What are you reading. You looked rather immersed in whatever it is. I apologize if I disturbed you." Leon kept his icy hand outstretched towards the novel. He enjoyed a good book, it was definitely one of the better ways to occupy one's time. He could go through one or two novels in a day at times.

She smled a bit mischieviously as he looked down on her. There was just something about him that seemed to pull her into him. His topaz eyes made her want to melt into them. He was like a secret taunting her, wanting her to try to crack it. She twirled a fallen piece of her hair around her finger. She took her time studying his muscular frame. Normally guys scared her but this man seemed to almost call to her. She wanted to study him forever and the thoughts she was entertaining about him now were risky.
She laughed softly, before shifting under his stare. "You flatterer you. I don't know what view you're looking at." her blush deepening as they spoke. She watched him seat himself and lean forward. She smiled whistfully. "I could show you around sometime." she said as he reached over for her copy of Moby Dick. She nodded to him allowing him to grab her book.
"I love Herman Melville." She answered blushing sweetly and looking away. "No disturbance, its not an easy thing to do." She said with a small chuckle swallowing the last of her soda. "so do you go to school still?" She asked out of curiosity.

Leon pushed his sleeves up further so his shirt wasn't resting on the greasy table-top. He could be a bit of a neat-freak and a food court, where hundreds of people ate their greasy food and put their dirty hands on the tables was really pushing his limits. It was disgusting to say the very least about this place. He glanced briefly down at his shoes, he had narrowly avoided stepping in a gob of chewed gum on the floor earlier while he was walking through the mall. He shook those thoughts away and turned his attention back to the young girl in front of him.
He enjoyed studying people, gauging their reactions to things. But with the effect he had on people, particularly women, they often times did not react to him as they would any other normal person. Leon watched as she twirled a strand of her hair around a finger and she studied his form. He had to stifle a chuckle. It was just too easy these days, there was absolutely no challenge. But it amused him all the same.
Leon smiled handsomely, "The view is you of course. I'm obviously not talking about the boy's behind you who have stuck seven holes in their ears for jewelry." His smile curled into a bit of a smirk as her face reddened a shade darker. Leon smoothed out the front of his tailor made shirt, smiling to himself. "I may just take you up on that offer." He replied softly. "Thank you." Ever the gentleman, Leon was.
With care, he took the book from her and examined the cover. Moby Dick..hm a fine choice. Leon didn't know very many teens were interested in such things. But her words about Melville made him grin. "His writing is wonderful. How do you like Moby Dick?" Once more he had to stifle his amusement at her question about his schooling. "I recently graduated from Brown. A year early actually."

She studied him as he rolled up his sleeves and walked toward her. She straightened her back, so he didn't think less of her. She was a model and models had to keep up appearances. She didn't want anyone thinking less of her upbringing then they already did. What she didn't expect was to meet someone that could turn her brain to mush with a smile. She shook the thoughts out of her head.
She watched him as he watched her. She just hoped he wasn't calling her a typical woman in his head. She may look easy but she really wasn't. She may fall hard and fast, but it takes a lot out of her to. She was hoping she didn't have any feelings other than simple lust feelings. It was easier to forget the baser instincts as long as nothing else got involved.
She was blown away by his smile. She felt her cheeks deepen to a more bright crimson color. "Thank you for the compliment sir." She said, wringing her hands together. She was trying not to look like she was anxious or anything. She nodded her head in ascent. "I'd be more than happy if you did." She said, giving him a radiant smile. "You are very welcome." She said, bowing her head forward.
She watched as he took care in looking over her book. "Melville was a genius. Not as genius as Bronte and Dickens but a master none the less." She said, taking her book back and placing it in her lap. "I wish i could go to university, i am booked up currently. I have to wait a couple of years. How did you like college?" She asked, her interest peaked.

The crimson flush in her cheeks was teasing him. He could almost see her pulse throb in her neck, mocking him. Leon rolled his neck as if to relieve some stiffness from the muscles. He was grateful for her words, and the use of 'sir', to serve as a distraction. Leon laughed softly, "No need to call me Sir. I can't be more than a few years older than you." Okay so that was technically a lie, he was older than her own grandparents..probably their parents even.
Leon leaned back in his seat and draped on arm over the back of the chair. He regarded her for a moment, noting the brilliant smile she flashed him and how she spoke. He sat up suddenly. "I'm sorry, I am sitting here talking to you and I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself." Leon offered her a charming smile, though betrayed his gentlemanly nature by not extending his hand. "My name is Leon-- may I ask yours?"
"Ah, Dickens has always been a favorite of mine. But I must say that I am rather partial towards Hawthorne. The Scarlet Letter is still a book I can merely pick up and read over and over again." He smirked at her inquiries on his college life, enjoying his own private joke. Leon had attended many colleges not only in the states but all over Europe as well. "It is certainly an experience I think everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy."

She had never felt anything the way he was making her feel. She felt a bit hot with the way he was making her cheeks flush. She looked down, feeling a bit dumb for her slip up. "Sorry, i slip up occassionally. Especially since school has just ended and i am now a graduate." She said, before biting her bottom lip and tilted her head to look at him. She wondered about him and his life. She knew there was something mysterious about him that she wanted to figure out. She had a thing for mysteries.
She stifled a giggled at his expense when he spoke all gentlemanly. She had never heard anything like it before it was almost other worldly. "That is ok. I talk to strangers all the time." She said with a chuckle taking his extended hand in hers. "I am Ariyanna. Ari or Anna for short." She said, nodding her head softly.
"The scarlet letter was a brilliant masterpiece. But i must say my favorite literary work is A Tell Tale Heart. Edgar Allen Poe is unique and original. He keeps you on your toes." She said, nibbling on her bottom lip. She watched as he spoke about his college life. She really wished she wasn't so busy so she could actually commit herself to her schooling. "I can't wait till i can go." She said with a smile. "Want to go for a walk?" She asked softly.
